Trade
Pakistan’s exports to Denmark have registered a positive trajectory for many years. Imports from Denmark have on the other hand declined. Pakistan is a beneficiary of the GSP Plus status of the European Union that allows for tariff free imports into the EU from Pakistan, which makes Pakistani products highly competitive in Denmark. Trade statistics for the past three years are shown in the table below:

The main products exported by Pakistan to Denmark include clothing and apparels, home textiles, sports balls, surgical equipment, leather gloves and basmati rice. Pakistani made apparels and home textiles can be found in all major Danish retail outlets including JYSK, Ikea, Netto, Bilka, Fotex, Jack and Jones, Vero Moda etc. Pakistan manufactures world class soccer and other sports balls and is the main supplier for brands such as Select, Derbystar and Adidas.
There is great potential to increase quality imports from Pakistan. Pakistani exporters are adept to adjust to the production standards required by EU member countries and produce price competitive products.
