The Embassy of Pakistan, Copenhagen today celebrated the Pakistan Day in a simple and befitting ceremony. The Pakistani community in Denmark participated in the event. Following the flag hoisting, messages of the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out by the Charge d’ Affairs.
In her remarks on the occasion the Charge d’ Affairs noted the importance of the event for reminding the future generations about the purpose of the creation of Pakistan and the efforts and the sacrifices made by the founders for its creation. The Charge d’ Affairs underscored the importance of building stronger links between the Embassy and the youth of the community, who are the future. She called on the youth to connect with the Embassy especially for promoting Pakistan’s tourism/economic agenda.
The Charge d’ Affairs also spoke about the situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and underscored Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the people of IIOJK until they achieve their right to self-determination. In this regard she praised the efforts of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora for highlighting the issue in Denmark. Children from the community sang national songs and made speeches about the Pakistan movement.
