Pakistan-Denmark bilateral relations
Diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Denmark were established in the early years of independence of Pakistan. Danish representative in Tehran, Axel Caspar Frederik Sporon-Fridler, was accredited to Karachi on 13 October 1949. (The actual credentials were handed over on 3 November 1949.)
Pakistan opened its Ambassador-level resident Mission in Copenhagen in November 1976. Earlier Denmark was accredited to Pakistan’s Embassy in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Denmark upgraded its Mission in Islamabad to Ambassador-level in September 2004.
