The Embassy of Pakistan, Copenhagen today celebrated the Pakistan Day in a simple and graceful ceremony. The Pakistani community in Denmark participated in the event. Following the flag hoisting, messages of the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out by the Deputy Head of Mission.
In his remarks on the occasion, Ambassador Shoaib Sarwar highlighted the importance of event in the history of making of Pakistan and underscored the need for reminding future generations about the purpose of creation of Pakistan. He emphasized that efforts and sacrifices made by the founders of Pakistan for its creation were a debt to be repaid.
Ambassador also provided an overview of the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Denmark. He highlighted the cordial nature of relationship between Pakistan and Denmark. He said that further efforts were been undertaken consistently to add layers of substantive partnership between Pakistan and Denmark. He highlighted the holding of Bilateral Political Consultations and the resultant enhancement of understanding between Pakistan and Denmark.
The Ambassador also spoke about the situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and underscored Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the people of IIOJK until they achieve their right to self-determination. In this regard, he praised the efforts of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora for highlighting the key issue in Denmark.
